Does the CRA apply to you, and how hard?
Twelve questions. Most people finish in under three minutes. You get a dated PDF you can send to a customer or an investor. We do not ask for an email address and there is no wall at the end.

Does your product have digital elements?
That means hardware or software with a data connection, direct or indirect. A sensor that talks to a gateway counts. A device that only ever talks over a cable to a PC counts. A purely mechanical part does not.
What this checks
- Whether your product is in CRA scope at all, including the carve-outs for medical devices, vehicles, aviation and marine equipment.
- Whether you are a Default, Important Class I, Important Class II or Critical product, against the verbatim Annex III and Annex IV categories.
- Whether you can sign your own conformity paperwork or need to pay a notified body, under Article 32, and roughly what that costs.
- Which other EU rules your answers trigger: the RED delegated act and EN 18031, RoHS, REACH, GPSR and the battery regulation, each with its date.
- Your minimum support period under Article 13(8), and how long you have to keep updates available under Article 13(9).
The determination logic is versioned and dated. The PDF records the version it ran under and every answer you gave, so the same inputs produce the same output years from now when somebody asks how you reached it.
